Codec and Containers
The server and player will practically support almost anything you throw at it, except that the media upload code has some restrictions to prevent certain formats if necessary. Plan to get rid of that, automatically support anything that the server identifies as valid, and then allow an advanced setting for mime type allow or deny. Presently container formats holding various codecs within them and right now our media settings don’t account for more than a container format (which is captured by mime type). Mileage may vary
